Location: syracuse indiana | hey guys . this may sound dumb but do you guys feed your suckers when you have them at home till next trip out. i have every year set up a tank for them with a air stream and water change almost every day.. i have fed them algi disks and someone told me to take a cut zuccinni and put it on the bottom and they will eat that.. i just want them to be fresh and active.. not starving and sluggish. heck i have had good luck keeping them after a rig has been on them that in a few days they started to heal from the side hook. bill |

Location: Davenport, IA | I know they can live 7 weeks in a livewell (after being hooked multiple times) w/o food. They just need clean cold water. |

I save lot of large flathead Minnows in a large metal tank with net cover so animals can't eat it....outside back of the gargae from Late October until ice up! Water is cold to keep them alive much longer. I don't feed them. Remove any dead or sick near surface. Fish on the bottom mean health! Suckers.....you probably need bubbles to keep oxgyen. Other is don't put too many suckers in a tank! 1 large sucker per 5 gallons....something like that. |
