Subject: Fig Rig Warranty?

I just sent two 7'6" rods back that broke in half on cosecutive casts. I had them less than 6 months. The retailer that I purchased them from no longer carries them so they said I should send them back to the manufacturer. I was on Fig Rigs website and it says they have been sold and more details to follow. Do you think they will still honor the warranty, or am I out of luck?
Any suggestions....Justin?

I'd venture they will, the new owner will be looking to keep everyone happy.

Yes, the company has been sold, and as Steve said, he will be looking to keep people very happy. The new company will no longer go the Fig Rig name, but will most likely maintain 'Tooth Tamer'. Eliminating broken rod/customer service issues is the first step, and they have changed blanks and reel seat suppliers as a result. The warranty has changed, however, and is no longer lifetime over the counter. The warranty that will replace it is one that I think everyone will like, however, as it seems very fair. With that said, a blemish/flaw in manufacturing typically manifests itself in the first few days of use. I helped them add a rod or two to the line-up, of which will now carry an 8'6" MH for the big bucktails/topwater. That will be nice.

I just broke my 7'10" fig too!!!! I have 2 of them and love them. I called them and the girl who answered said "no problem - send it in". The only catch - I get stuck with all shipping charges and I live in Canada (likely $70 with border fees!). It broke while casting and was about 15 trips old.

Landry, if you do send that 7'10" in I'd suggest asking for a different rod. That 7'10" blank was known problematic save for very light lures(6" jake type stuff). I am assuming you broke it on the cast, about halfway down the blank. The rod has been discontinued as result.
