Subject: Boat Seats, Any better than others?


I have to replace the seats and the posts and bases on a boat I had just purchased,I am just wondering if anyone could recommend a seat /post/base that they were happy with......There are so many to choose from it is a little confusing. Thanks Jr.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		Springfield aluminum posts and bases, Atwood seats in the aftermarket for me. Look into Shockmaster posts, too, out of Grand Rapids, MN.

Location: Athens, Ohio		Be careful on the seat posts to get those that are properly rated for the application. Class A-D seat posts are made for the Driver, A-P for passenger, Class B seat posts (hydraulic risers) are rated for under 5 mph. Didn't know this until I got popped by Watercraft. m

Thanks Guys.................the springfield posts and seat bases worked great.
