ILL DNR Got a few

Did not get to go Muskie Fishing this weekend, took my Mom & Father Inlaw out for a day on the water we ended up with a ton of crappie and some really nice walleye's ( All Released ).
For the first time in a while I was checked by the ILL DNR for Lic. safety gear and all the other usual stuff no problems really nice freindly guys we ran into them again at the the landing as we were pulling out while we were talking another boat pulls in right behind me so one of the wardens walks over to check them turns out that of the three guys none had a lic and they had a double limit of walleye ( I see some big fines here ) while all this was going on there were a few guys working on a boat a few slips away, they were having a hard time getting it started when one of the guys says "It must be bad gas here is a fresh tank" so they swap tanks the portable six gallon type sure enough the boat starts after a few pulls then as one of the wardens is watching the guy dumps the bad gas right into the lake, I have never seen a warden yell so loud and move so fast I can only imagine the bill that guy is going to get for fines and the haz-mat team that was called in to clean up the mess.

Hooray for the DNR. Those guys are terrific in MI, at least the ones I've met. One guy in SW MI, Mr. Robalo goes by the nickname of "Rambo". I bet he checked me at least 6 different times over the course of 10 years on various lakes around Paw Paw, MI. Polite as a preacher, tough as a marine. His uniform is always ironed and he always ends a sentence with "Sir". He's also very good at catching out of state idiots fishing without licenses from the ends of piers.

Yup this was on the Fox Chain, for some reason that body of water attracts every nut case and speed demon within a 2 hour drive and thats really a shame as this chain could have some real potential to produce pigs.

If the State if Illinois put all available wardens on that chain for a weekend they would make a fortune in fines and penalties from these folks
