| Wait for a while.
With the economy doing what it is, I'm pretty certain that there will be lots of boats to choose from late this fall all the way through winter and early spring.
If you have 15K, it will be a buyers market, and you could probably get 20K worth of boat/motor/extras for your money. When people need money, the first thing to go are the toys....the expensive ones. |

Location: BLOOMINGTON,IL | We have a LOWE 175FM - We paid around what you are looking to spend brand new!! I love the boat! It is super wide, with single console, and handles 3 musky fisherman very nicely. There is a lot of room for gear. Also, when we walleye/crappie fish you can easily fish 4 guys! You would not be upset by your purchase.
We have not had any issues with the boat! Let me know if you have any questions. |

| For $15,000 you can get a late 90's Ranger 681, 690, or 692 in good condition. You might even be able to find a 681 with an Optimax for that price. If you're not chomping at the bit too much, browse online classifieds for a while and be ready to grab the right deal when it comes along. That's what I'd do. |

Location: Hugo, MN | I like my Lund Mr. Pike 17, and you could also look at the Angler SS, which is almost identical to them. It's set up great for muskie fishing. I would imagine for that price you could find one with a four stroke or an OptiMax. That's the only thing I'd change about mine. Another popular boat that I've fished out of and liked, is the Crestliner Fishhawk 1750. Nice boat for the money. Definitely a bunch of deals out there right now, so hold out for the right deal. |
