I am just wondering what is every ones favorite jerkbait is and why? Mine is the classic suick because they come in many sizes for different conditions. They are easy to work and when nothing else is working you can normally get at least a follow out of one.

Love the weighted Suick! I have over 20 for some reason but only use three of them. Perch, Black, and gold scaled one. 9" or 10" work for me. I have used a few of the 7" ones and I get some good bass on them but thats about it.

Wades Wobbler in the 9 and 11" versions, easy to use and catches fish and best of all never needs tuned.

The big weighted Suicks, and the ones made by Big Fork, I forget the name.
Sometimes muskies like that pull-slow rise retrieve over anything else.

I started with Suicks and Reef Hawgs, caught more fish on Reef Hawgs, now I use Hellhounds and there's days where you may have 8 strikes and boat one, I think the Reef Hawg Wins.

Are we talking 'jerkbait' or 'gliders' here, because they are 2 different animals. Jerk baits are dive/rise lures, while gliders have swing to them. I don't classify a Hellhound as a jerkbait, it's definitely a glider in my book.

Huh? I thought both dive/rise and gliders were both considered Jerkbaits, just different catagories within the same family.

Huh? I 'tap' gliders, I don't 'jerk' them. I guess with the new definition I need to add: Perkas, Perkettes, Muskie Treats, Timberwolf, ...........m

I agree with Beaver, I think that there is a difference between "gliders" and "jerkbaits".
