Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Evergreen Students Enjoy Fishing Club
In an effort offer students an opportunity to learn about healthy and drug-free lifestyles, Mr. Kampman (School Guidance Counselor) and Mr. Koepke (Principal)--AKA--Cowboyhannah have collaborated to organize Evergreen’s first ever Fishing Club. This after-school club which meets four consecutive weeks will teach fourth and fifth grade students about species identification, knot tying, casting skills, and lure painting. Students will even have a chance to put their angling skills to the test when the club makes its trip to Lake Wausau on a multi-species shore outing. The Fishing Club also is sponsoring a fishing seminar by local guide, Joel DeBoer on October 16 at 6:30 in the Evergreen gym. During the seminar guests will get tips and tricks on the wide variety of angling opportunities found right here in Marathon County. The club is the talk of the school!!
