Here are two pictures I dug up. Both show either a coil or a lure body that you can use to tie your skirt material onto. I like the coils myself as they have the "grabbing" of the coil and the coils themselves are not heavy so you can add the weight where you want to. I like having more weight in the tail of the lures myself. I think each configuration has its advantages and some disadvantages. Make a lot and test them, save some money, and have fun! Post some of your creations when you get them made.
