| Any suggestions on improving throttle control on a 90HP 4str Suzuki for trolling applications? The motor is capable of getting down to 1.8 mph. I generally troll around 3.0 mph. It can be difficlut throttling to a precise speed on the low end due to play in the throttle cable linkage, basically the motor is not designed for precision throttle control on the low end. What happens is the dead-band that is created in the throttle linkage makes it easy to over or undershoot the speed that you are trying to target by a few tenths of a mph. You have to make very small adjustments to the throttle to inc or dec the speed to desired amount, and the dead band is a relatively large movement in comparisont to the actual throttle movement. | |

| If you get it close, adjust the trim up or down, and you can adjust it a bit. I know guys that trim it up on purpose, to create a top water disturbance while trolling muskies. | |
