Just wondering if anyone that has been there can tell me what the water color is and what depth the weedline is. Thanks.

Most of the lake is pretty stained, once you get up the Chip or the Jump a bit the water is much clearer. Weedlines are 3-4 feet in most of the lake.

Almost-B-Good,
Check out this forum from last year
Holcombe Flowage?

Plenty of good information, as well as hopefully getting some updates for the same trip coming up this October.

POSTED SEPT 2008

Pretty tough bloom right now on east half of lake. south and west end seems much clearer.
was there last friday (5th) 5 hours zero fish seen. water was still 75 degrees then, but sure it's dropped since. Has been slow but should really pick up with cooler temps.
Big muskie inc. tourney there weekend of 19,20,21 of sept.

The color of the water varies throughout the year it turns real green towards fall late summer but otherwise it is a darker water and the weedline depths average about 5 feet weeds surface in the late summer which makes it hard to fish it
