Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | 78 Boats took to the waters of Pelican Lake this morning at 7AM under cloudy skies with occasional mist and cool, brisk winds. The bite windows were short, but the fish moved on and off all day as almost all the boats reported contact with several fish during the day.
Boat Number 7 took first with a 45.5" Muskie boated by Terry Schuelke.
Second went to Bill Fassbender registering a 44.5" fish.
9 fish were released at boatside by 5 PM, including a 44" Hybrid caught by Ken Meullemans, good for third.
4th: Boat 4- Mike Reese, 42" ( Mike has fished all 17 of the Kevin Worrall Memorial events..Thanks sir!
5th: Boat 16-Rick Mundt, 40.5" ( last year's champs)
6th: Boat 51-Bill Behrens, 38.5"
7th: Boat 1-Danny Paiubicki, 38.25"
8th: Boat 12 Stan Krueger-35.5"
9th: Boat 23, Brad Thering-35"
A huge thank you to the sponsors of this year's event!
The Kevin Worrall Memorial benefits the Marshfield Ronald McDonald House. This event will raise a sizable amount thanks to the hard work by The Gerrits and many volunteers working as judge boats, serving food and drinks, and more; and most importantly, thanks to the generosity of the Muskie anglers fishing the tournament. From the bottom of our hearts, the Worrall Family thanks you all.
A big thanks to Tuffy Boats for the donation and for bringing this coverage to the web!

Location: Stevens Point, WI | What a great time this was and for a great purpose! Pointerpride and I were actually a bit dissappointed moving 8 fish, 2 of which we saw multiple times but couldn't convert either one. Oh well, that's musky fishing I guess, next year. We also got to witness an unbelievable 'lost fish' by Slamr first thing in the morning, making me question the side of the bar we started on in the morning.... but it turned out not to be a fish. lol
Thanks to all the sponsors and Gerrits for a great tournament. I'll definitely be back and hope more of you look to make this tournament bigger and better next year.

| Here is the 44" Tiger my partner "father-in-law" caught for third place. Forget
the date, it wasn't January of 2006. This was one of the prettiest fish I have ever seen. The fish was very fat for it's length. Forgot to do a girth on it. My father-in-laws first legal.
Thanks again to Gerrits and Steve for a great tournament. I have been fishing
this tournament for almost 20 years with missing only a few years. You
don't see has many fish has used to but the quality is still there.

| I would again like to thank everyone involved with the tournament. The sponsors, the contestants, the volunteers... everyone who was here. Without all of you we wouldn't have been able to raise $1836.29 for the Ronald McDonald House. This was just over $800.00 more than last year!! Great job!! Hopefully next year we can do the same!!
See all of you next year!! | |
