| I'll be staying at a buddies cabin for Mem. Weekend on Post Lake by Elcho, WI and was planning on fishing Pelican for the first time. If anyone has any info on water temps or ideas on the best tactics for this lake early in the year I'd appreciate it.
The people I'm staying with aren't musky fisherman so I'll probably be fishing solo. If anyone in that area wants to get out for a few hours Sat. or Sun feel free to drop me an email ...

| I fished Pelican last year on this weekend and it nearly snowed on us, it was cold and nasty all week with one nice day. We saw three fish all week on Pelican and they were all just sunning themselves, but they were big. Anyway we decided we'd have better luck on smaller lakes that maybe warmer. We fished Boom, Thompson, and another one right by Thompson but I don't recall the name. We had a lot of action on thompson from pike, and caught two legals, a 36, and 38. On the one by Thompson it is George I think we also caught pike and one musky a 34. Hope I helped, Boom was a riot as well, we caught a million pike, and a 20lb. class dog fish that took a funky chicken.

I'll look for you on Pelican this weekend. I'll be in a green/white aluminum v-hull with a 40hp Evinrude on it. I may not be able to catch you though ... Any suggestions on where I can grab a good lunch on the Lake?

| You won't go wrong by grabbing a sandwich at the Lakeview Inn in Guth's bay. It is just down from the boat landing on the sw side of Antigo Island. |
