| If that fish is 58", then that guy must be 7 feet tall. Possible I guess......

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | That fish is a pig! The tail is just off the floor of the boat. He's no midget holding that fish like that. Very nice fish!
Have fun!

Location: SW MI | It's a nice fish no matter the size but compared to the size of the guy it looks a little small for 58". Could be camera angle though. |

| All I'll say is that dude is a helluva lot stronger than I am, if he can hold "50-55" pounds above his head with four fingers and two thumbs hanging onto some Rapala scale. Biggest fish I ever held was somewhere from the low/mid 40 to the somewhere under the 50# mark. No girth, released the fish, don't know, don't really care. But its the best size reference I have. The two guys in the boat that day and everyone who's seen the photos agrees on the weight range. Anyway.....with my wobbly legs and tensed nerves, that fish was all I wanted to hold for photos with my elbows locked into my hip (which has got to be your strongest holding power), let alone lift out of that net with one hand.
Its a big fish. I don't think they could have taken a worse photo if they tried though. The shadow across the fish really throws you off. Fun to speculate, impossible to prove.
