| Dear Muskie First Community,
I was made aware yesterday afternoon that Bill Wood entered St. Mary's hospital on August 23rd for open heart surgery. Remained in the ICU for a few days. Had a tough trip to Eagle, although he did catch another 50"er!! Anyway, he was released after a few days, but returned on August 29th back into the ICU with complications. From what I understand, he is having a tough go of it. Please keep him in your prayers. He has been a long time advocate and one of our founding fathers of the Capital City Muskies Inc. chapter. He is a beloved ornery soul, but we love him, and please keep him in your prayers.
This morning, trying to get an update on Danny Herbeck, Herbie's son, of Andy Myer's Lodge, has been flown home with some bad swelling in all his joints. They haven't got blood tests back yet!! He is a loved and awesome person as well. He was my 3rd son when at AML and love him as such. Please put him in your thoughts and prayers!!
God bless you all!

| I hope both get well soon. I have shared a boat with Danny many times and he has always put me and my Wife on great fishing. A true natural and hopefully both will be up and running in no time.

Location: MadCity Wisconsin | I saw Bill Wood today at St. Marys in Madison and told him of your thoughts and concerns for his complete recovery. He appreciates it. He is still battling, able to walk with a nurse once in a while and gets very tired. I told him about your posting on this board Donnie and he nodded and smiled. Continue to keep Bill in your thoughts and prayers folks.

| Steve,
Good news...I am glad Woody is doing better!! He will continually be in my thoughts and prayers...please keep us posted friend!!
Danny is in good hands back home. There hasn't been a final diagnosis, but it is in the early enough stages no matter what it is, and at Danny's age and health it will be treated. It was a load off of my mind to hear that from Herbie yesterday.
Thanks for all your kind words and prayers for both these awesome folks!!!
Sincerely,
Donnie |

Location: MadCity Wisconsin | The latest info. today is that Bill W. is getting stronger and feeling better! He has been having some digestive track problems since his heart surgery and the Doctors were going to do surgery, however medication seems to be solving the problem so they will not operate at this time. |
