With the colder temps I feel and have heard the fish are hooking up for spawning,or are spawning.....Does this change everyones hopes?

Was on a WI-MI border lake this last weekend (temps in the high 40's) and moved some fish and managed to boat a 33" so no my spirits for the northern opener are not dampened at all.

Have no fear- they all don't spawn at same time! Even spawning fish will slam a slow presentation. -> Shallow silty bays + wood- + north bays w/max exposure to sun- small twitch type baits thrown tight up to shore! #14 Metallic Green Husky Jerks & #11 Black % Gold Floating Rapala's. The dark bottom silty bays warm quicker + prime Muskie spawning- If I remember correctly.

If you aren't on the water you can't catch anything- I know!!!

Have a great opener- []
