OK, now that it's pretty clear that I am looking like a red goon, I thought maybe it would be a good idea if everyone shared the brand and SPF sunscreen the use on the boat.

It could help someone else from making the same DUMB mistake I did (even though I still add it was one of those sweatshirt and jeans sunny spring fishing day where a person wouldn't notice a burn untill about 7 hours into fishing). Well same mistake that Cra oops Frank and I have made.

I'm w/ M.I...only I use Liquid Wrench...just kidding of course! Like Lunchie says, the Bullfrog is great; if you can't find that, BioSun is popular here + contains Aloe Vrea + Vitamin E...I use a higher SPF here as the sun can really blaze, especially on the water.

US Army "woodland" Long sleeve loose fit camo fatigue shirt + big straw hat. If you don't expose yourself to the sun you can't get burn't + + PF 40+ sun screen as insurance! []

I use Coppertone sport in the 30 version. The stuff is great, it doesn't come off when you sweat or swim. You must put more on every couple of hour just to be safe. [:sun:]

I was a former bicycle racer in Texas and was out in some serious summer sunshine for hours on end. Being Irish, my skin burns if I even think about sunshine![:knockout:] I found both BullFrog and Coppertone Sport to be very effective at preventing sunburn without burning my eyes when they got in them when sweating. I tried many other brands, but these two were the best of the bunch.

I use Banana Boat SPF 50. Put it on in the morning and I am good to go.

I keep a bottle of Coppertone SPF 30 in the bottom of my tackle box. Nothing can ruin a fishing trip like getting a bad sunburn on the first day.

I sell drugs for a living and we sell more Bullfrog to fisherman than anything else. Mainly, it is because our dermatologist in the clinic and myself recommend it highly. I love using the spray but I always bring the sparkle block when I'm taking a female fishing. It's all waterproof and applies easier than other products in my opinion.

I use Bullfrog 30 and just bought some Coppertone 45 for my nose/cheeks/ears.

Also wear a white cotton long sleeve tee-shirt, and some times one of those saltwater fishing hats with the big bill in the front and flap that covers the neck.

Even with this you be surprised how many "rays" you'll soak up on a long day.
