Hi guys,

I wasn't quite sure where to put this, so it landed here.

In T-10 days I am headed to Northern WI for some lunge. I have a bunch of info about the lakes that we are planning on hitting. The lakes are highlighted green, but we are also thinking about Mercer Lake: http://www.scolba.com/ironcomw.html Obession is a hellofa thing. HA!

But the one piece of info that I can't find is, are there horsepower restrictions on those lakes?? How does that work up there?

Any help would be great!! Thanks!

Scott,
I sent you a PM. However, on most of these lakes if not all there is no HP restriction. I can tell you how impressed I am with you data.

Hey, thanks Dave! I sent you a PM back!

So another question about WI in general....if there ends up being a HP restriction, are bigger motors allowed to opperate, just at no wake?

Other than a couple lakes in the Milwaukee area I ma not aware of any lakes that have HP restrictions. There are plenty that are no wake and quite a few that are electric only but you can still use your big motor on the no wake lakes as long as you go slow. And on the electric only lakes all the one's I've been on you can still have your gas motor on the boat you just can't use it - electric only.

One thing to remember is that most wake and electric restrictions are local ordanances and not a state law so they could be written as to not allow gas motors on a electric only lake even if they aren't being used. But I have never seen or heard of one of these in Wisconsin.
