Location: Land of the Musky | Almost there.... How do they look so far? I have 21 colors now and my lips are finally fixed. Just finishing them up now. I hope to have these ready to go before mid October. 11 inches long with big rattles. http://i17.ebayimg.com/03/i/001/09/6f/e7ba_1.JPG

Location: Land of the Musky | That one has Mustad 7/0 and the production models will have 8/0 or wide gap 7/0. My main concern is to make sure the hook points are out away from the body of the lure so they are not "hidden" when the lure is hit. Always helps with hook ups when the hooks can actually see the mouth of a fish My new Sea Cow and Sea Calf had the same problem but we got that fixed with slightly bigger hooks and we also adjusted the belly of the lure. |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Hopefully I can chime in here since i have a few of these baits already. They trolled to 26 ft on 100 lb line @100 ft, work great as twitchers, and cast like bullets. Unlike a lot of muskie crankbaits these baits do not cartwheel when you cast them. They fly tail first and are ready to be ripped, jerked, or cranked as soon as they hit the water. I personally like the rounded lip (deep) the best since it deflects around rocks and stumps rather than just getting tripped up. Overall I really like this bait and my friends jaws all drop when they see it. A friend of mine from Canada said when I make a trip up there, be sure to bring some with because its highly resembles some of the biggest cisco he'd ever seen.
Thanks again James for another great bait! |

Location: Land of the Musky | The production models will come with bigger hooks and/or wide gap hooks. Priced like most lures I make...I think I can get these out for around $16-$17 each!! They are tough too! I have already used two different ones to put a nail into a board with. The bodies are near indestructible and also have through wire construction. Wish I could have had them out this summer but I had problems with the lips shattering so I made sure they were fixed prior to release. Oh well.... |

| Can you describe the action on a steady retrieve? Is it tight like the super shad rap that it resembles? Also, how much does it weigh? |

Location: Land of the Musky | Tight and fast like a Shad Rap with rattles. It weighs in at 7.5oz. Kind of like throwing a big Mag rubber lure if your used to that. You can really bomb cast these too. I have never thrown a lure so far. Just playing around with it this year I had my biggest ever pike follow. Was not a 50" but close. If I did not suck at my figure 8 and/or saw her coming I might have had a good picture with the lure. LOL |
