Do you prefer to run "Wackers", topraiders, topkicks, thunderheads, talley wackers ect.

Fast or slow...explain?

I prefer Topraiders, I will vary the speed diring the retreive at times if you use it kind of like a jerk bait it can be deadly just cast it out let it sit then give it a good pull just enough to make some noise then let it sit again for a few second and give it another pull

I loooooove the Pacemakers and Wackers!!
I like to run them slower at first, and when it is about 10-15 yds out I will pick up the pace. This gives it more of a "Panic" appearance and seems to trigger them into striking.

I run them FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!
This type of bait I will us as a "search" bait and use it to cover water in a hurry. If there is a good chop on the water it is even better. When the lake lay's down now is a time for a slow moving bait like a creeper or a hawg wobbler.

I prefer a "fast" topwater bait when you see the fish following your other baits quickly rather than those lazy follows. I consider the Top Raider, Top Kick and buzzbaits to be good fast baits. My personal favorite fast topwater is the Top Walker. Man does that baby hook fish and you can reach near light speed with it and it will still run very well.

I'll throw the slower topwaters in the very low light conditions (as in no light) or when you have a fish picked out that wasn't so aggressive the last time you looked her in the eyes. The slow ones that I like the best are the Hawg Wobbler, Creeper style baits and Twin Teasertail. My favorite is one that my Dad makes called a Toppa John... and yes that is a biased opinion.

I prefer an blackbird or orange/black coot TopRaider. I like to bring it in at the speed that works best for the bait. Depending on each TR, they all seem to have their own speed. I like one that can be moved a lot faster so I can cover a lot of water.
