| the long "regular season" of pool play came to a close today, and the playoff picture is now clear.
2008 features an expanded playoff format, allowing 16 teams to participate. all first and second place teams that fished all 3 matches are in the playoffs.
from this point on it's "survive and advance" - single elimination matches will move us towards the Championship later this fall.
