Steve Admundson is the owner of the resort and also a guide that is on the water almost everyday.

Hi Greg,

We just got back from there, where we stayed at Vermilion Motel in Cook, MN for a couple days of our trip. The stay was nice and fishing quite good. There are also resorts that often allow a pay by the day type stay. Still making those nice gliders? Drop an email some time.

Vermilion can be hit and miss in Sept. My tip, be versatile; most of the fish I ran into were in "packs" ... all the action coming out of a particular bay or reef. Look for bait.

Watch out for turn over at the end of Sept. It can be tricky if it gets cold this year.... But after turn over the fish will be hungrey for sure.
