Are SS Shads typically one fish baits? Had one blow up again today on a 40. Love the baits, but 23 bucks a fish...???

No, they definitely aren't one fish baits. Did the through-wire pull out (is that what you mean by "blow up")? Try contacting Kyle at [email protected].

Definitely not a one fish bait. I have one, although it's not pretty that has almost 20 fish on it.

I'm using the 5 1/2". I just bought the 6 1/2" version, but have not had enough time to give it a fair shot.

Not a one fish bait, but definitely not very durable if you don't take care of them. By taking care of them I mean filling in the cracks with some type of glue or epoxy. If you do that, they will last longer. They are one of the few muskie crankbaits made out of Balsa wood, which makes it both light and strong, but the epoxy finish does not hold up too well. Its definitely worth the extra work filling in those cracks, because of the unique action.
