Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Shallow weeds, sand and rock. Deep weeds, sand and rock. Everything in between, too, seriously.Open water for suspendos. Where ever big Muskies are, you can call 'em up with a Weagle. Missed a Giant last night on a Wabull in 2' on the rocks at 5:30 PM. Sunny skies and clear water... |

| When do I use a Weagle....?
1. When I raise a big fish, instantly throw a Weagle back on it.
2. When I return to a spot where a big fish lives
3. Anytime I want to throw topwater
4. Over open water when fishing for Suspendo's
5. Shallow water rocks
6. Shallow water weeds
7. Early morning
8. Middle of the afternoon
9. Sundown
10....pretty much anytime...Weagles Rock.

| I like fishing them over a broad expanse of weed cover when I can find it, but my favorite is when I find weeds that end near a deep drop. I'll throw it over the weeds, right along the edge. out from the edge 10' or so and then 20' out from the edge. Lots of fish that feed along that weed edge don't swim along the bottom when the move out of the weeds, many will move away from the edge and position themselves so they can still hover far enough from the edge as to not scare the baitfish, but close enough to nail anything that might wander too far away from safety. Kinda like Nemo
Rock points and inside turns are always good, and I'll fish them as far as I can throw them away from real shallow water. Fish won't hesitate to come up 15-20 feet to eat. Get a mix of rock and weed, and you can't go wrong. |

| It's also a very good cold water bait. We've caught skies in december on a weagle here in Indiana! |

Over weeds or to a weedline, to shorelines, rock bars. For sure after raising or seeing a fish. Even though they are usually a slower moving bait I have fished them for hours at a time. Caught my biggest fish on one this year casting to about 10-12 feet of water on a rock bar.
Early last fall, on a dark water flowage, if I had a cloudy, cool day with drizzle, I just about KNEW that my black Weagle was getting eaten over or near weeds in 3-5 feet of water.
Just about anywhere fish are, a Weagle can work. Not always, but if you have a lot of confidence in them they are always worth trying for a while.

Weeds,rock, current,open water, shallow, deep.
Sunny, cloudy, rain or snow....... No matter what I always have a Weagle on one of my 5-6 rods that I use.
Its an awsome search lure and a great throw back lure..... Use it any tjme.

| After all this praise I gotta get one, I have Dunright top dancer and like that but will probably add a weagle as well. What colors seem to work good for clear lakes? Black or any of the colors? |

| i find myself throwing the 10" more and more as my first choice. i've had smaller fish eat it just as readily as big fish.
i've started using the 8" when i want to move the bait a bit faster.
i personally don't think color matters much at all. i've got black/yellow, white, and pink in my rotation right now...

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I concur with Lambeau, color hasn't really mattered for me either. Had a fish on a pink body and black dotted 8inch weagle the other night. But I tend to favor black. |
