Wanted to take a quick poll as to everyones preference to their favorate glide bait/color. I was thinking of getting a magic maker in the new holoform color.

Thanks

Doc, I would say the undertaker is my choice. This bait in the perch pattern has been great for me on Pewaukee Lake this year. It is a big fish bait and is only 6 inches long, not counting hooks or split ring on the front. This bait is a consistant producer for 40 inch class fish in the spring and fall. Try them you will love them.

the big gold prism/brown body phantom; battle scarred and still goin' strong- and the new 6" baits are awesome - great action!

I like the Jerko in Walleye pattern. Was great to me last year.

White-Bellied Perch Phantom had been rocking the house for me!!! But it's starting to be any color in the Phantom as of lately. The six incher is a break-dancing fool doing a great side-to-side glide that's very similar to the manta, but having a nice belly roll. The 7 1/2" has a more subtle walk the dog action but has that great belly roll and diving/fluttering action that all phantoms have. The two sizes should have a home in anyone's tackle box.

catch ya later,
Krappie

Have to agree with Slamr on this one.Have always been a reef hawg freak, but the 8" shaker has been awesome this spring.Copper snake and walleye patterns so far on my favorite pond this year but i'm sure others would work also. Great baits but too expensive!!!!

Toss up between an Undertaker and a Cobbs Countdown. Both are easy to use and can be used high or low. I always have one of each tied on. Colors always depends on the water and light conditions and my mood.

Surprised no one mentioned the Ole' Reef Hawg, and the Eddie, two of my favorite glidders. Though that phantom in any color can't be beat. The magic maker is a jewel too![:sun:]

Undertaker...

The only glide bait I use that you can go side to side.. and up and down with a long pause when you want it too. The bait never misses a beat.

The change up is the key to getting lunge to eat, instead of follow.[;)]

Phantom and my new Divani Ashton bait, whoahh does that thing glide. I'm a glide bait idiot, these two baits are the easiest by far to work for me, but then again I dont own an undertaker or Hughs. I do have squirko's,burts, jerko's,cobbs, reef hawg, but don't have them conquered yet. I love topwater and cranks but will concentrate on more glide bait presentations this season.

I love the action and the ease of the Phantom. It already produced for me this year, and I have been moving alot of fish with it. I also like the Undertaker, however I have found that in order to keep it under the surface I have to work it slow. With the Phantom I can work fast or slow which is nice to turn those lookers in hookers![:0]

I will back the Cadymeister and say Jerkos/squirkos. And yes the Mantas are good too once you get the rythym of it down. Never used the Phantoms or Undetakers (resisted the temptation to buy every single lure i wanted) but i am sure they are more than good.

nobody mentioned the "Pig" ?? I have never used one but have heard alot about them. My 2 cents would be to use either Cobb's or Pete Mania's "magic maker" (I think thats the name)or is it the doc?

Doc,
Go to the Hughes River website....go to Retailers, then call them. Stock is usually thin, but if you work, you might be able to find one.
