I have a Suick that I have tuned to the point that it runs really good........for awhile. Then it apparently starts to take on water and the back end sinks while the front still tries to float. It is a flat black Suick. Do I need to coat it to keep it from taking on water?

If your missing any paint you could definately paint it to see if it would help.

Take the back hook off, you don't need it.

Dry it out real good for a few days and try spraying it with a little Shellac. Won't add much weight. You can also try putting a real thin coat of two part epoxy on it.

Thanks for the replies. I dried it and sprayed it last week. Haven't tried it yet, but I am hoping that it works.
