I just got back from 4 days on Mille Lacs. Stayed at Father Hennepin State Park on the southeast side. It has 2 ramps on or near Isle bay. Ran around 20 something a night for electric which we needed to charge the batteries. There are a few non-electric sites closer to the ramp and water but we were still close enough to launch at the camping ramp and bring the truck back to the site. I would bring a photo of a muskie to rig on you hook so you can say you had a follow (just in case).

Father Hennepin is great. It can get crowded for me.
On the NE side, I have also had great experiences tenting at Fishers. They even creatively worked me in when they were "booked" one evening and I was stuck. Also didn't nail me with a deposit fine when I cancelled at the last minute due to car trouble last year.
