I started back to the ramp after 4 hours of fishing, when I noticed my 2003 Deep "V" 18' Tracker Targa took a really long time to get on plane. When I pulled the Plug getting ready for the trip home.--- WOW -- Lots of water – Took almost 20 –30 minutes to drain. Bildge was almost full. "I almost sunk my boat".
I found both the front and rear live well / bait well pumps (We used both) had a broken the plastic connector on both pumps - right where the hose connects.
Earlier this year, I had to replace the bilge pump for the same reason.

You guys have any Ideas on what caused this??

I don't get my boat out much -- never any heavy waves.. Spends most it's time - covered --sitting in the drive.

Thanks Rick

Saw a Tracker Targa 17 deep V come in with water covering the carpet yesterday, he put the plug in the livewell hole. Not sure what will be breaking the connections, we run a 17' Targa in heavy water all the time and haven't broke anything yet. I will say though Tracker needs to put better pumps in their boats the time we put the plug in the wrong hole it took almost 2 hours to pump out.

Freezing, usually. Water expands as ice and breaks the fittings. It can take awhile for the fitting to completely fail.

Thanks guys.
Luckly I have a screen over the intake of the live well or I would of plugged the wrong hole.
The freezing sound like it.. But every year I run RV type Anti-freeze through all the pumps / livewells.. Maybe I waited toooo long last fall???

Thanks Rick Hale

The bilge pump on my Javelin was broken that way when I bought it. I figured a previous owner could have overtightened the hose clamp causing the plastic to crack. But freezing is also a possibility.
