Do any of you have a Lorance locatore like the 332 (extrenal Ant.) either in your car or in your house just to play with it? I have mine in the boat but hate taking fishing time away for learning about it. I am guessing I would need to purchase another puck and have a battry for a power source if I wanted to use it in the house like during the Winter. Anyway just curious if anyone else has done this. Thanks for any and all replies!

I have a soft/hard case for mine. Its a speed bag I got from Cabelas and built a littel internal shelf for my unit and battery. Works real well for ice, portage trips, or taking on the road. Gives you time to screw around with it too. You can also download a program from Lowrance that emulates it on your computer. I did this prior to getting the actual unit so I could play with settings to see what they did. Cool program.

I just sit out in the boat garage and cruise lake map chips on my 520. Just be sure to disconnect the sonar unit so you don't burn up the transducer. m

While sitting in his boat, Mikie makes motor noises, too! Gotcha! hehehe

like james said, go to the lowrance website and download the emulator for the 332, you can download your unit and bring it up on your computor screen. it allows you to use all the fetures by hitting the buttons just like you were sitting in front of your own unit.
