| I bought 2 Tica rods earlier this year and have yet to fish either. Both are telescopic due to limited rod locker room. One is MSHA80H2, 8', Heavy Fast, 1 - 4 ounces. The other is HSHA80XH2, 8', Ex-Heavy Fast, 2 - 8 ounces. I bought the XH at the Chicago show, but I ordered the other from Thorne Bros. When I put them side by side I swear they're the same rod just with different lettering. Doing the "scientific" bend it by hand test, they even feel the same.
I guess I thought the XH would feel much stiffer than the H version, but maybe a 4 oz rod isn't that different from an 8 oz one?
Anyone have any input on Tica rods? | |
