I got a weagle recently and I really love it but i've noticed already that the middle hook has cut through the paint and started cutting into the wood in a couple places. Could this cause problems with the bait absorbing water? If so is there I can do about it or is this something normal that I shouldn't worry about? I only have about one full day on the water with this bait.

Thanks,
Joe

To eliminate/control hook rash, T your hooks. I don't know if the rash will cause any problems. I recently went through and T'ed almost all of my hooks.

Or just leave it, I have several that have lots of hook rash, and continue to catch fish on 'em. The Hook t will solve that.
