| I use a 7'6" custom rod...it is a short rod compared to what I normally use...but for a weagle a bit shorter with a soft tip and strong backbone works great for me. I got the rod from Dadson rods....Ben |

Location: Des Moines IA | 7'6 to 8 foot MH with a somewhat flexible tip. You want to avoid the pool cues. Working the weagle is all about manipulating the slack line. |

Location: Bemidji, MN | I use a 7'6" MH croix for weagles and works well. Make sure you have some slack to work it and if it is diving, work a little slower. Deadly bait to say and good luck! |

Location: Hayward, WI | I would definately say something at least 7'6" and a MH action. I really like my 8' Gander Mountain Tournament rod for Weagles. The rod is a MH, rated at 1.5-4 ounces. Has a little flex in the tip, which seems to be important for getting the Weagle to swoosh easily.
I think most rods in the 8 foot length with a MH rating would work well.

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I too use a 7' MH for the 8 inch Weagle but a 7' heavy for the 10 inch Weagle. I've used other rods but can't seem to get the snap with a heavier rod. My two go to Weagle rods are a 7' MH Fenwick Techna AV and a 7' Heavy St. Croix Premier. |

Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | Depends on the boat you in, if your low to the water you may have to use the 6'6" mhf. on the other hand if fishing of the casting deck of a 621 VS Ranger, you may need the 8 Ft. MH St.Croik. Your rod tip should not hit the water on a downword pop of the rod, and you need to get slake in the line with out breaking up your retrive. I personaly like a St.Corik 7' MHF for the big Weagel as the rod tip doesn't hit the water In my boat. When I go on a trip, I take every good rod a reel that I can get in my rod locker. | IMO, it doesn't really depend on the boat you are in.
I use my 9 foot Pro Edge rod with my Weagles. No matter if I am in my Polar Kraft, a Ranger, a bass boat, etc...
The 9 footer is the best rod I have used for the Weagle.
