your dad is in a tough spot. Its up to you (or another family member) to make sure he's as comfortable as possible and they are never late in dispensing his medication. A really LARGE fruit/candy basket for the nurses station can go along way in getting your dad the extra attention from them that he needs right now.

I've been there and know how you feel. I'll say a prayer for your family.

Karol,

I'm very sorry to hear about your dad. I've worked with many hospice patients over the years and have come to realize it is the best time to celebrate their lives. Make the most out of every conversation, reflect on all that is good and even simple silence in his presence is a gift that he will cherish.

thanks you guys. we had a celebration of Dad's life today and got to remember all the times we had with him. he had to wait till the harness racing started on tuesday before he passed away at 9.30 a.m. Dad always drug the track between races and and when we called his racing buddy he asked if it would be ok to announce it at the grandstands we said "sure". turns out it was senior citizen day and that's how his good neighbors found out. he'll be missed by all the racers at the elkhart county fair..

thanks again to all my 49"ers that wrote those kind words

rest in peace Dad, i'll see you soon.. love you.. karol

Karol, We just got home from vacation and I saw your sad news. My deepest condolences. Please tag a big one for me in honor of your dad. I'll do the same from my boat this year. Dad's are the best! Hang in there my friend. He IS in a better place.
God bless you,
Steve Johnson
