Location: Brainerd,MN | Between now and July 28th, DNR Commissioner Mark Holsten needs to hear from you! He needs to hear your support for the Muskie/Pike Management Plan. Emails and letters mean nothing at this point in time. You need to call him directly. It only takes 30 seconds to voice your support.
Even though there is great support for the plan it's been quiet from supporters and the negative responses have taken hold. So this is it! One last rally from the troops to get this plan passed!
Please make your call NOW! We're FINALLY at the point where things are going to happen but he ABSOLUTELY NEEDS to hear from you!
Mark Holsten, DNR Commissioner
651-259-5555
Leave your name and number. If you don't talk to him personally...leave a voicemail.
Here is a link to the MN DNR web page with the Management Plan.

Location: NYC (and many weeks in MN during summer) | how about a quick outline of bullet points. I live in NY and spend about 60 days a year in MN, half that on the water. Not exactly sure what to say, but trust you guys are in the know. I certaintly want the Muskie fishery there to improve, not decline. I plan on growing old and chasing the ski's in that state!
(pm me if you prefer)
Thanks

| I would love to make a call. I agree that it would be great if there were some key points to bring up in conversation.
I could obviously share my love and passion for the sport as well as the many friends that share that passion, the lakes we fish, the pressure on current lakes, etc...
I just want to make sure I make the most out of this phone call so any key issues that would make a big difference would help.

Politics rarely draw the attention a big fish will, regardless of the importance of the political action or the origin of the big fish. |

| I called last week. Just need to say you support the Muskie/Pike plan. Most likely a department secreatary will take your call and record your support. |

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | Be sure to mention:
- you support the plan AS WRITTEN.
- you support the stocking of Gull and Pokegama
- give them props for the great job they've done with the fishery thus far and that you want to see it continue for your own children.
Keep it short, sweet and positive.
