| A spot so good, even an eagle is smart enough to fish it. Sitting right out on the corner.

Location: Algonquin, ILL | I would be more interested in what's around the corner closer to the reeds, It looks like that would be a nice "Garage" with perhaps some weeds

| They don't park in the garage if they can sit out on the point and control traffic.
The mess below, exposed by low water looks really good but much fishing yields little in the way of muskies. One problem is that the water is fairly flat without a good inside turn in this area, but the other problem is a fish can roam this area and set up in place after place. Lots of casts to find limited number of fish. Looking at it with the water down, the two roots are a good demarcation of where my limited casts will drop IF I ever fish this place again. Falling water levels suck the musky out of these areas like a drain.

| It doesn't take much, in dark water, to hold a musky. Security, shelter, food, and a THING to snuggle up to. What more could a fish ask? Oh, well, maybe 2-3 feet higher water levels. Stupid as it might be though, if a fish has a place, and the place has good structure entries, when that water level is stable, or slightly rising, lots of times those fish come back home, sometimes in as little as 6-12" of water, and they seem irritable when roused with a bait.
