The May contest was an absolute slam dunk with a once in a life-time shot, last month's photo was a shot of what it's all about, passing on the fun and excitement of muskies to family and friends. What is the subject going to be this time? A personal best? Maybe an amazing release shot? Possibly a sunset or wildlife photo from the Canadian wilds?
Make sure to check out not only the rules below, but Okuma Fishing, supporter of so many MuskieFIRST events at http://www.okumafishing.com
Pretty basic rules: A new thread will be started at the beginning of every month, and will be active for between one week and 15 days. Contestants will enter a picture of a fish caught recently by posting to the Okuma Fishing Monthly Photo Contest thread. At the end of that week myself, Mark Rogers of Okuma (California_Muskie screen name) and Mike Winther (lambeau) will judge the pictures. Judging will be based on photo quality and presentation versus being judged soley on fish size. Pictures should be related to muskie fishing, but do not necessarily need to include an actual fish. Enter as many times as you want, but you can only enter each picture one time.
Please make sure to check out the new Red Isis reel, the EvX line of rods and my personal favorite, the Induron reels. Thanks again to Okuma Fishing for their continued support of MuskieFIRST and our users!

Location: Palm Coast, FL | That rabbit is too big...check out this little guy! My basset hound mali loves to chase rabbits. So, when I found a little one while mowing the yard, I had to show it to her. After smelling it and getting REALLY excited I placed it on the couch and let her look at it. Although she is a basset, I think she was hard as a rock since every single muscle in her body was stiff with excitement. It took her hours to settle down!

The guy in the picture helped himself to a full can of beer that was laying on a pontoon boat's deck. Used the Flat Tail lure to grab it like a carnival crane game.
He did not spend more than 2 seconds. Dropped his Flat Tail ONE time and when he lifted it - well I will let the picture speak for itself.

I think this pic signifies summer musky fishing in the North. First light and last light are definatly times when dedicated musky fishermen love to be on the water! A pink Summer sunset only makes things better!!!!!
Thanks Marc!

But if we are looking for reasoning on the picture how about a personal best, amazing release, Canadian wilds shot.
