Steve isn't it always? with over 125 teams and normaly less the 20 conecting on most tourneys one fish can do it almost always. The boys at the PMTT are doing a great job picking bodys of water that are tough the weekend they are there. Even when they did St-Clair the numbers were way under the norm, and I am sure that most guys fishing the PMTT are good sticks.

Best of luck this weekend as that one fish can and probably will get you in the money.

What if nobody catches a fish? They pick the winner by drawing straws? Maybe you got a chance after all Shady![]

Seriously, good luck to you and all participants. I'm doing the WMT on Pewaukee this Saturday. Expecting a tough bite there, also.

It will be 2 fish.....a mid 30's incher and a low 40 incher....This is assuming the weather isn't EXTREMELY cold. if it is low sixtys, or even upper 50's fish will be caught....heck these are the temps we have had for the last month! Fish have to eat!

I know of a LOT of VERY good local fisherman that are fishing the tourney. Our local Muskies inc. chapter was barely beaten out for the most muskies registered last year, there is good reason for the large number of fish these folks catch! If things get tough it will be interesting to see if the locals can pull out a fish or two from some of their pet spots...

Yeah, yeah the locals aren't usually the ones on top but it will be interesting!

Good luck to everyone fishing Madtown! Hopefully the fish cooperate!

What would happen if no fish were caught....I know it won't happen but what would happen? Also, what would happen if only 1 fish was caught....do they get all the prize money?

LOL

Brett, if there are under 10 fish caught over 2 days by 250 anglers that body of water needs to be converted to a bass fishery. Lmao
That's like 3750 hours of fishing by some of the best anglers and even at 100 fish your looking at 37.5 hours per fish.

Cory, I sure hope the locals do great as I picked quite a few of them in my fantasy pics.

Looking at those numbers makes you realise the pressure a tourney can have on a waterbody. It equals to an extra 375 ten hour days on a body of water and that's in 2 days. Man that's an angler fishing every day of the year at 10.25 hours per day.

3750 hours at 50 cast per hour = 187 500 casts divide that by 10 000 = 18.75 Well you got it thats my prediction for the numbers of fish this weekend. [:p]

Not to throw a monkey into the wrench, but I fished the Park Falls Chamber of Commerce tournament a few years back. 60 boats, 120 guys for two days on pretty darn good water = no Muskies landed that weekend. My comment was to send us back out and the first legal fish caught wins all the loot!!!!!!! Their answer, ARE YOU NUTS!!! We are going to draw for all the places. HE HE HE HE My partner and I were drawn for big fish and for 1st place, a cool $5,585.00 tha year. Turned out to be a great weekend forus after all.

Let Em Go...Let Em Grow.....If you catch any.....Mike

I predict that two guys that entered the tournament accidently, yes accidently (sounds kind of like a Bill Clinton thing doesn't it), will hit Lake Monona Saturday morning for a fun filled day of crappie fishing and land three fish over 45 inches on a Pinky Blinky. Those will be the only fish registered for the entire event.

...at least that's what would happen if I was in the tournament.

Craig has been cleaning his pool recently and I think he sniffed a little too much clorine....

Anyway, I have reassessed my prediction based on the nasty weather this weekend. I DO think one fish could win the whole thing....Weather in the mid 40's, come on what is up with that!!!!

Now, now... there's no need to discuss my chemical addiction here in front of everyone. I've been attending my Chlorinators Anonymous meetings almost every week (even though they're held monthly). A little setback every once in a while is to be expected. Now if I can only get that Algaecide monkey off my back.

By the way, Mendota was 47 degrees last week. Ice up could occur any day now. Summer sure flew by this year.
