Have problems with mine flashing the depth and freezing up for a second even in deep water. Was wondering if anyone has updated theirs and has it worked? If I do update they say I need a card and reader, anyone know where I can order that from and for about how much? Thanks. Going out on little bay de noc saturday night and sunday so I will be trying things to make it better. I hope I will at least come home with some walleye and maybe a few salmon.

Location: N Illinois		I updated my 520. Didnt use the unit before i updated it so i dont know if it fixed any problems. I have not had any problems yet however. I bought a mmc chip from best buy for about $15. Then I needed a reader, that was $16. Downloaded the info from the internet to the chip. Installed the chip, turn the unit on. it updated itself. Pretty simple process. Hope this helps.
I also did my LCX 28 the same way.
