| Has anyone ever side by sided Costa, Ocean, H30, or Maui's to see which actually penetrates deeper? Any consumer reports that anyone found? ...or are the differences negligable?
Also, which lenses are generally the best? Green or Ambers? I can get Maui's on a pretty good discount, which of their lenses are best for seeing deep?
Anyone try Bolle?
Any help is much appeciated,

| Amber is supposed to provide the most contrast which is why I like them for sight fishing trout. I need to be able to detect subtle differences. Yellow is best for low light conditions. Don't know what green is good for. Grey is best for bright conditions. I know my amber Action Optics provide much better contrast than my grey costa del mars. |

Location: midwest | I have owned bolle and costa's in the past and currently own ocean waves and maui's. In my opinion backwater green ocean wave lenses (green mirror/amber based) are the best all around lense I have used. For lower light conditions I also wear a yellow based/ purple mirror lense from ocean waves called a "luminator lense". The maui's are nice and very light but just don't provide the clarity or contrast on the water that the ocean waves provide.

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I've been sporting Habers http://www.habervision.com/ which are owned by Bolle and love them. I've got four different pairs, two in my truck and two in the boat for different occasions. I'm wearing the model Bellagio or Nice most of the time because it provides the best all around use. I'd highly recommend them.

| I was told, and believe it after using different colored lenses, that a grey tint is best when it is bright and sunny out and an amber lense is best in cloudy or lower light conditions. I switch glasses in the evening and if I wait to long to switch I can really tell the difference when I put on the ambers as I can see much better into the water. |

Location: Norway | In general, amber is the best allround color. Yellow for cloudy/low light and grey for bright, sunny days.
I dont think any can see deeper, they only take away the reflection on the top of the water...
