| Just found out a friend of mine passed away at the UVA Med. Center yesterday; Don Maxwell...he suffered immensely from bone cancer over the past yr + one half yet never complained once. He was a fellow vet + an ex Marine + served his country when called...we shared the exact same birthday down to the day, month + yr; can't recall who was born first...he also served his community, church + family + will be sorely missed...Don leaves behind a wife, a daughter + 2 teen aged sons. Though I KNOW where he is now + he no longer suffers, the pain of those left behind will linger for a long time...just another reminder that life is ever so short + the time we have left whether it be a day or 10,000 days would be best spent helping, serving + taking care of people/things that really matter...thanks.[:blackeye:] |

| Sponge- My condolences to both the family and yourself. Unfortunately it's times like this that bring us back to the reality of how precious each day we have is to our families and friends. Life is to short to be wasted on negative things. Hug your wife & son + Don's family and rejoice in the positive things about the times you shared w/Don.
God Bless

I will pray for Don's wife and children. May they find peace in the fact that one day they will be reunited and that Don's suffering has ended.

Words never seem to say enough. Without at doubt, my family thoughts and prayers are with you and Don's family.
I will say that I appreciate Don's service to my country in order to keep all of us free. That goes for you Sponge and all the vets. Time has not faded the thoughts of your sacrifice.
