I have a lowrance sonar on my boat (x67c). I'm upgrading the sonar, and i'm wondering if I can keep the old transducer ??
I would think I have to stay with the same brand name (lowrance), but maybe not?
it would save some cash and hassle to be able to use the old one

What unit are you looking to go to? It all depends on what unit your switching too. Also, are you buying new? If so, they come with a transducer.

First off, what are you looking for, just a sonar unit or sonar/gps combo?

As for what unit will work with your transducer, well it's all going to depend on what unit you get.

The transducer you have is HST-WSBL. So with that transducer, any Lowrance unit that starts with LCX, LMS, or X will work for that transducer.

Here is the link to Cabelas to which transducer you have.

I though the X67 used a different type connector than the bigger Lowrance units but I might be wrong. To the original question though if it is the same transducer there is no reason IMO to pull it off to put the same model transducer back on. I replace my Lowrance units every year and still have the original transducer from 4 models ago on my boat. Same for my power cords. I am to lazy to re-run all those wires and re-hook them all back up to power so when I sell my 1 year old units they come with brand a brand new power cord and transducer. It also seems to make them easier to sell that way.
