Last night the top water bite was smoking. Here is a lake, calm from restrictions of no motors and the fish are blowing up all over place. In my 13 years of fishing I have never experienced the action from top water as I did last night. The question I have is why? Is it because the entire night of fishing we saw 2 boats running only on there electrics, or is it just that I missed this bite for the past 13 years.

4 fish on, 2 blow-up's, 1 on a troll back and the fish at the red boat house made a wake that was a knee shaker. It's an erie feeling out there with no boats on the lake and you only run into 1 boat all night. Were normally you would have 10 boats trolling with 20 boats casting and other power boat action. I guess you have to enjoy the break that god has given us and get out there and pound the conditions but it does feel different.

I hear that slow no wake has been added, pretty soon the jet skies will be out again,
