Location: Roscoe IL | Treats thread got me thinking again.
I know, the first word that comes to mind when this happens is DANGER.
Let's say you recently came into a large sum of money. What would you do to contribute to the future of the muskie fishery in your area or an area of your choice?
I understand that muskie fishermen & women are a diverse group. Some have families that need help & some don't. I'm saying that you have that covered & still have $ to burn baby!
I know I would contribute to my local MI chapter in a big way & would also sponsor events that educate the youth of my community how important clean lakes are & conservation practices. Work out a free kids fishing days on our local waters on a reg basis. Other small things like support catch & release signs at the boat launches wouldn't hurt... These are things we (Flatlanders Chapter) already do or are trying to work out with an incredibly small budget.

| My Fox River Valley musky club would be stocking many more lakes and introducing muskies at a faster pace to new waters. We would also sponsor many more youth events and support more local high schools' fishing programs that are just taking off now that fishing is an official IHSA sport. |

| FRV would get some money for sure.
I'd probably work with ALL the clubs in the areas I fish, and match dollar for dollar anything they were able to raise for stocking. More lakes with more fish = good.

If I had the money to do it, I'd start up fishing programs all over the state for single moms.
Not specifically for muskie fishing, but just to get kids out as many places as we could, as often as we could.

Location: Algonquin, ILL | FRV Muskies Inc would get some cash no doubt, actually I Like Esoxaddict's Idea.
Now if the Jackpot was really Big, How about a state of the art FRV Muskie Hatchery, we could supply all of Muskies inc with quality Muskie Fry & Fingerlings for stocking into public waters, Or possibly buy a Resort on LOTW for the exclusive use of Muskies Inc Members & Thier Guests

Location: Ogden, Ut | I'd buy a BRAND NEW Tuffy w/ a big Merc on it for Sled. And a new set of waders for Pointer...
I've found most biological/ecological problems can't be solved by throwing money at them. I think first something needs to be identified as a biological (not social or perception) problem before a correct course of action is taken.
