| Taking a trip to Big V late July and I want to get a chip for depths & contours.
Wondering about the difference between Navionics and Lakemaster, also wondering if the newest lakemaster MN chip has more Vermilion detail than the '06 chip. Tried to get an answer from Lakemaster but no word.
Thanks for any help or insight y'all can provide!

| in the past i ran only Lakemaster, last year i ran both the Navionics (console) and Lakemaster (bow), and this year i'm running just Navionics on both bow and console.
i was extremely satisfied with the detail and accuracy of both brands of chip on Vermilion.
when running the Lakemaster on a Lowrance unit, i found that a change of display settings to "night" made it easier to read the contour lines (white lines on blue background instead of blue lines on white background).
with the Navionics chips in my Humminbird units the standard viewing settings work well...i especially like being able to set the shade line to the depth i want - makes it easy to find/follow particular contour depth lines.

| Thanks, Lambeu
Do you (or does anyone) have any experience with them on B&W units? I have an Eagle that's B&W.
You guys rock,
