Yup,I did a good one today.I was getting my Tuffy out of a storage shed ( rental) this morning and I did a big oops. The boat was in there a little cockeyed,I hooked up to her with my truck, everything looked ok.I pulled a head a little bit and felt a some resistance.I got out of the truck looked and saw my dilema. The right side of the boat was up against the wall and the left side of the trailer was against the other.I tried to turn the wheels of the truck and back up,no luck,I tried to pull a head a little, nope, stuck! NOW what am I supposed to do? I tried to unhook the boat from the truck and move it by hand,I couldn't even do that! So now I am stuck, can't go forward, can't go back! I decided to crank the truck wheels hard left and "give" it a little.Yup that worked except for me destroying the right side of the storage shed.I finally got the boat out and looked at the damage.I darn near took the door off the shed, broke the wood between mine and the one next to it,messing up his door. The damage to my boat almost made me cry! I cracked the fiberglass on the upper right side, about 3 feet, destroyed the railing, and ran over a nail ,thus making my right side tire go flat.I had to call the police to get everything on file and he took some pics. Now I get to deal with my insurance company, the rental place and find a place that will fix the boat.Good thing I have full coverage! Yup,the MISADVENTURES of Paul are officially in full swing!Lokks os if I will be a river rat for a few weeks depending on how long it takes me to get the boat fixed.SORRY guys,I had to vent.... I hope everyone has a better day than I am having.Paul

Wow. I'm sorry, dude, but all I can do is shake my head. I mean it didn't get in there by magic, and "I decided to crank the truck wheels hard left and "give" it a little." What did you expect to happen? Some sort of time-matter flux that would allow fiberglass to harmlessly pass through wood? Here's to hoping incidents like this are few and far between out there, cuz I'd hate to think that my insurance rates go up from companies having to cover these sort of self-inflicted things. Well, I'm sure you learned from this, and hopefully somebody else did also. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm pouring salt in your wounds here, but hey, you brought it up for discussion. Hope everything gets fixed before the summer is shot, and I'm glad no one was hurt. Good luck.

I feel for you dude, I messed up last fall twice in the last few weeks of the season. The first time I was in a hurry to pull my boat out so not to ice up the ramp for others when I turned to sharply and hit the curb with my trailler wheel, Well good thing it only slipped as it was some 8 inches back from it's original spot and all that was broke was a plastic fender. Did freeze my @$$ off getting it back together in freezing weather.

Now on the last day on the water, I was distracted by local idiots as we launched my buddys 620, so as I was backing his trailer in the parking lot I misjudged it by quite a bit and backed his trailler into a tree. Not good if anyone ever sees the fenders of a 620 trailler, I smashed the tail light and the fender got knocked in some 4 to 6 inches cracking it way down. Just cost me $620 US and thats just for the parts, he's going to change the fender himself. [:knockout:]
