What's up with that!!!

I said after missing my third fish of the day. I had one of those days in which I was tossing the right stuff, but just couldn't seem to get hooks buried into the fish. What's really crazy is that I ended up popping 2 Largemouth bass on a 6 1/2" Sledge(that's kinda freaky because I'm known not too be too big of the fan of the sledge neither...must not have been myself today.he,he,he) and my buddy got 2 Largemouth on a 6" Slammer. (2 bass were around 16" and the other two were 17" - 18") I guess it could be worst and that would be not sticking a muskie at all. Thank God my fishing partner came through in a pinch and stuck a 34" muskie on a Phantom.

We moved some fish, but the feeding window was narrowed by the incoming weather. I tell you what... I'm really getting sick of this crappy weather that we have been getting every weekend!!! [:knockout:]

But the best part is that I was out tossing for skies!!! And nothing beats that!!![:p]

By the way does anyone know a cure for the missing the fish jinx? I gotta nip this in the butt before it gets outta hand.

catch ya later,
Krappie

ALL YEAR last year I had that affliction. There is no cure, just wait for the fish to get stuck again, and they will!![]

Krappie, you just have to stop bass fishing, that's all. Beter yet fish a lake that has no bass. That would not work you would just catch northerns and walleye. Oh well keep tossing and hope for the best.[:)]

Krappie,

All you can do is keep plugging and make sure those hooks are razor sharp![;)]

Good luck and stick a "PIG"!!![]

Perhaps you need to keep your brothers smallmouth rod out of your boat...you know, the one from Cave Run that I got blamed for using!!![:(] And quit using Bill Dance Bait Spray on every other cast![;)] [:sun:]

LOL Todd. Yeah, Maybe I should be tossing the bigger stuff to keep the grass carp off the baits. It's funny, I've only caught one bass prior to these two while musky fishing, and that one was on a topraider. But for that many bass to be caught in one outing sure tells me that either the aggressive males are on the beds, or they like to pop the bigger baits in that lake.

Hey Rik, I saw one of your family trees on a the lake that I was fishing. At least it kinda looked like it. There was a ton of small balls in tree, but I think they could have been squirrels nests. I even missed it when casting on it's shoreline....You'd be proud!!!!he,he,he.

Thanks guys for the encouragement. I'll make ya proud this coming weekend. Better yet, I'll make Trophymuskie proud by tossing the big stuff to keep the baitfish off my baits.

catch ya later,
Krappie

Hey Krappie,

You forgot to tell everyone about the various trees, rocks and stumps that we did get a good hook into![] I do have to give you props for helping me to my fish, you called the spot were I hooked into my first legal of the year, Thanks!

You will stick one this weekend!! I have faith in you Krappie.

he,he,he Frogger shhhhhhhhh it wouldn't be like me to not toss one into the tree or around a dock. But for every bad one that you and I tossed into the pickers, there also was a few that would even make even the most savvy bass fisherman jealous. Ah, we know we're tossing in the right places when getting hung up...at least that's one of the sayings that I have to cover my butt.he,he,he. Really looking forward to this weekend, and I want you to keep that streak going by popping some more fish!!!!

catch ya later,
Krappie

Hey bro, I keep telling you to quit using those banjo minnows! They just don't hook fish. What was the hot color this time? Green with purple and yellow pokadots. But hey, I know how it is. I also missed one on the hookset while you were probably missing your second one on the other end of the lake. I guess I should have had my bass stuff in the boat so I could miss three fish too!

Keep your head high, your reflexes quick, and your hooks razer sharp and you'll soon stick one. You better do better than that this weekend to beat me![]

Congrats Frogger on your fish!! Wish I would have been closer to take a look at it.
