Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin | Boom Lake and The Wisconsin River were on the docket last nite and the report is.............. water temps 60- 62, east winds 10- 20, overcast but no rain, some real nice fish were seen, a few even had hooks in em, but the only fish registered was a 37 caught by Bill Donner, congrats Bill!! A Reef Hawg in shallow weeds did the trick up the river. JonnySled hauled in a pig of a redhorse or carp, you should put the pic of that bad girl up here so everyone could see it. Pepe landed a nice 30 inch dogfish in my boat, I can't believe I netted a dogfish!! Next week with the water warming up things should pick up as we will be fishing Crescent, Manson, Oneida, and Hancock. How about the grub that Randy put out for us!! I'm still tasting onions!! |

Location: minocqua, wi. | the night that shoulda been ... 63 degree water focussing on wood and cabbage and were essentially alone where we chose to fish ... had action right away with a porpousing fish, then a chaser on a fouled hellhound (if the #*^@ weed would have dislodged i think she was an eater), then a missed fish on a short strike ... quiet a couple hours and ran into the kid and mean gene and then had to go measure for billy (congrats eh) ...
we fished the same spot i think 6 times and Freddie must have thought i was half nuts ... then the last time through the haymaker showed up ... just without an open mouth ...
maybe steve will post the picture of the carp ... it started out a muskie big and brown, then i tried to make it into a huge walleye for it's shape but when it hit the net it was just a big carp ... ate a jointed grandma ... lol
can we fish boom again next week? |
