You basically have 5 options in the Duluth area. St. Louis River, Island Lake 15 miles north of Duluth, Island Lake 40 miles south of Duluth, Amnicon and Lyman about 15 miles into Wisc. Black and Orange have always been my best colors on the 2 Wisc lakes. Chartruse on the 2 Island Lakes. I don't fish the river enough to know colors out there.

Here's some more info. I'll be out all day saturday on Island. Black Lund Yamaha 115 just like everyone else up here:} j\k

Hey Mad Musky,

Welcome to the Northland...

I am the President of the Lake Superior Chapter of Muskies inc, in Duluth, MN.
I welcome you to the area and to attend one of our meetings.

If you are looking in the Duluth Area, the St. louis river is your best bet, & a chance at a big one. If you are looking for that top end go the extra Hour to Vermilion.
If you might be looking for a Guide, I have a Guide Service called Northland Muskie Adventures with 4 of the best guides in the Northland. We spend everyday on the water and put many monster fish in the boat. Check out our website.

I would be happy to take you out if you are looking for a guide up here, I will put you on some monster muskies on the river or up on Vermillion, but its up to you to get them to bite.

I look forward in meeting you... Feel free to e-mail me or give me a call
