| What are some good strategies for the mn opener this upcoming weekend in northern minnesota.
Water temps should be upper 50's; weather report looks like light scattered showers and temps in the 60-70 degree range.
This will be my first year fishing the musky opener as I am pretty new to musky fishing. If anyone can give tips on lures to try or what types of depths to fish, any info would be great.
thanks. |

| I still saw some pre spawn fish yesterday, June 2, so if you run into that I would stay in open water to avoid them. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | I'm not really sure about open water in early June with such a cold spring...I would guess plenty of fish are still going to be shallow and recovering...Wish I could make it up there, going to have to wait a few weeks unfortunately |

| Rob Kimm has a podcast (on another fishing website) saying that muskies may not have spawned yet, especially up north. I guess it makes sense given how cold this spring has been. |
