Hi all,

Next week I'll be at my place up north for the week and plan on doing some fishing on the river. Anyone have an estimation or idea of what the water temps are in the stretch between Eagle River and Lake Tomahawk?

Also, I know that many don't like to talk about success on small water but has anyone had any luck so far in the early stages of this season?

thanks.

Same or a touch warmer on the river just to the south. The bite down here has been fantastic. Phil Schweik stuck a 53.5" last week on DuBay and we have a few other mid 40's. Leaving in an hour, front is coming in and things should be knock out. Fish have been super shallow with no real lure pattern proving over another. Thinking it's Topraider time.

Sled, for me that's about the truth. I see them in there, they look at my lures, laugh, and send me back home.

I cant wait for Topraider time. Sounds like some more 80 degree days coming this week which should help. Did Phil post a pic of his 53" fish? Thats amazing. I'd like to find one of those.....

i was out for about, i dont know, 2 hours maybe? who knows exactly how long i was out. i had 3 follows from muskies that were 30 inches maybe. one of them surfaced about 15 feet off shore. who knows why they surface like that? i hear they do it to clean the bacteria from their gills? maybe it followed me in. who exactly knows? i was able to catch one even though i was not paying attention when it followed me in and hit my lung-in lua. who knows when i will be able to make it back out, but goodluck andrew. i was basically trying to match the hatch with my lure selection. maybe i'll see you out there.
