Hey guys, I am not afraid to admit. I know very little about anything electrical. I have a very good battery charger that I use in the garage. It shows the percent of charge on the battery so you know when it is about done. This spring I put my one year old deep cycle battery on charge and it would only go as high as 65% full. The battery was really only used it for about 25 total hrs all last year. Am I doing something wrong or is there maybe something up with the battery or charger? I put it on 12amp fast charge for deep cycle setting. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance, Tom

Get a 'second opinion' by using a hydrometer. Squeeze bulb thing at the auto parts store (like a mini- antifreeze tester) will give you an accurate report of the charge in each cell. They are cheap (cheaper than getting a new battery or charger!). See what that tells you. m

check water level in each sell should be higher then the terminals in the cell. try charging on a slow charge instead of the fast charge. the cell tester is a must looks like a large eye dropper. ps don't over fill the cell reservoir or the battery acid will leak when charging!
